Coastal Waters
Photography is a fantastic technology for learning tool. In a one day workshop and armed with their own camera, each learner takes a selection of different photographs from around the Wirral Coastline, returns to the CLC, edits the images and chooses one to go forward to our Wirral Coastal Waters Competition. For this year's competition, there were hundreds of entries, books of photography created and a competition culminating with the Mayor of Wirral presenting the prizes. The learner is left with a skill to apply to all areas of their learning.

As the image depicts, the dragons are ready to do battle with each other in a robotic fight to the death. Each year the CLC promotes the value of robotics as an educational tool through its Annual Wirral RoboCup Final. Apart from the physics involved and using the CLC as its starter, groups of learners from Prenton High School for Girls have twice taken part internationally, once in Atlanta, USA (2007) and once in Suzhou, China (2008). They are now aiming to take their robotics to the International Final, in Graz, Austria (2009). This is technology providing unforgettable learning experiences.
